Protocols

Face coverings must be worn by all those attending an indoor place of worship (unless excepted), remembering that they are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer from COVID-19 and are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.

Church is open daily from 9am (11am Thursday) for Private Prayer

We are delighted to welcome you and ask that you follow the guidelines below

•  The main church door should be left open to avoid use of handles

•   A face covering MUST be worn (unless excepted)

•  Please use the sanitiser as you enter and leave using your elbow to pump onto your hands

•  Read all notices for your own personal safety and that of others

•  Social distance, staying 2 metres apart unless you are with members of your family or a social bubble

•  Only use the pews in the front block

•  Cleaning is carried out daily

•  The Church is unavailable for private prayer until 11am on Sunday & Thursday mornings (see below).


 

A Service will held in Church each Sunday and Thursday at 9:30

Please abide by the following for your personal safety and that of others

•  Social distance, staying 2 metres apart unless you are with members of your family or a social bubble

•  Only occupy the pews that are free; all soft furnishings have been removed.

•  All available pews will have been sanitised before occupation

•  A list of attendees will be kept with a contact number in case of any spread of Covid_19 to ensure that everyone can be traced

•  Hymn books and general service booklets will not be used

•  Holy Communion will be offered in one kind only. A wafer will be dropped into your hands with no contact or words. The President will offer all words and responses after they have prepared the altar for communion

•  When going forward to the chancel step to receive a wafer, ensure you social distance unless you are with a member of your ‘bubble’, also taking care when returning to your pew afterwards

•  Singing of hymns is not allowed; Responses may be said quietly

•  A microphone will be provided for readers but MUST NOT be touched. Readers and intercessors need to print their own copies which will be emailed to each appropriate reader. If you are listed to read and would prefer not to please let Sue know

•  No refreshments will be served after service

•  The toilet will remain locked

•  Exit using the west door, keeping social distance

•  Please do not loiter for conversations
