All Souls Requiem Mass - Loved Ones Remembered

A special service remembering loved ones who are no longer with us. 

If you would like any names to be read out at this service please use the website form or leave their names on the welcome desk in church. Everyone is invited to attend.

Memories have little habits, especially when they are memories of people who have died.

A place, a piece of music, a smell, all sorts of things can trigger thoughts and memories of lost loved ones and friends.

Those memories can bring a smile, but also carry pain.

As we enter autumn the church year draws an intentional focus on remembering those who have died, in all sorts of circumstances. There are the larger events of Remembrance Sunday in November, but also the feasts of All Saints and All Souls, two separate church celebrations that draw deeply on those who walked before and with us.

This year at St. Mary Magdalene we will be holding a service for All Souls on Saturday 31st October, at 12noon. This will be a reflective Eucharist service, sometimes known as a Requiem Mass, during the service we will read out names of people who have died in the parish over the last 5 years, we invite you to add any names you would like to be included. Whether they lived in the parish or not, anyone who you remember, we will also.
